‘Should be his last month at Arsenal’: Some fans attack one player after 2-1 loss
Some Arsenal fans took to social media to share their disappointment with one of the team’s star players after the dreadful loss at home to Brighton in the Premier League.
The Gunners had been in awful form heading into Thursday’s clash with Brighton at the Emirates stadium.
But with a place in the top four to chase, Arsenal knew they had to win at all costs to avoid more misery despite the sacking of Unai Emery last week.
Freddie Ljungberg decided to name a starting eleven which was similar to the team from Sunday as Mesut Ozil started in attack once again.
The former Real Madrid star, who was finally brought back into the team towards the end of Emery’s reign, has been enjoying more playing time over the past month.
However, his performance – along with the rest of the team – did not impress a number of fans who lashed out at him at full-time…

This should be his last month at Arsenal. Ozil isn't the player he was in 2014 and we have to cash in on him in January. I'm a fan of the man but the truth hurts. #ozil

And for these Ozil fanboys, with Ozil it's always someone else's fault. Never Ozil's fault. Not even when he drops a 3/10 performance after pocketing 350K/week.

Ozil can't even do it against Brighton etc anymore. I accepted he was useless against bigger teams AGES ago but he used to atleast do a meaningful thing against bottom half clubs. Now he just jogs about…too think they wouldn't pay Ramsey yet give that guy 300 plus.

In 2019, a 10 that can't run, track back or dribble is very useless. No big team uses such a player. Ozil doesn't want to adapt so Emery benched him. He played the victim card and you clowns fell for it. Lmaooooo

There’s always an excuse where Ozil is concerned so why not just play him #10 behind Aubameyang with Pepe and Martinelli on the wings? Then if he performs we know that’s the system. If he’s still rubbish we will know he’s finished.
