‘Should’ve sold him in the summer’: Some fans attack Arsenal star after 1-1 draw
Several Arsenal fans took to social media to slam one of the players who featured in attack during Thursday’s draw against Bournemouth.
The Gunners were in pursuit of only their third away win this season as they faced Bournemouth in the league on Thursday.
It was a big occasion for Mikel Arteta, who was taking over his first ever game as Arsenal boss after his move last week.
The Gunners’ head coach decided to name a starting eleven which had both Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette upfront.
Lacazette, who had been benched in recent games by interim boss Freddie Ljungberg, was looking to shine in order reclaim a more regular spot in the team.
However, a profligate show from the Frenchman nearly saw Arsenal leave the Vitality stadium empty-handed, had it not been for a strike from Aubameyang.
Thus, several fans took to social media after the game to criticize the performance of Lacazette…
Should’ve sold Lacazette in the summer when people wrongly thought he was amazing. Now his value is at his lowest

Lacazette must be sold. Could still recoup a relatively big fee, for a player that offers next to nothing away from home. Doesn't help Aubameyang in the slightest either.

Is like you people forget Lacazette cost us £50m…£50m to score 6 away league goals in 3 years…He has been largely underwhelming but because he has sauce and plays gidigbo football, y'all overlook…#AFC

Lacazette has scored 5 away league goals in 38 games…a rate of 1 goals every 7.6 games! (Auba has 8 in 10 this season alone)!!#arsenal #arseblog #gunnerblog

Hopefully we sell Lacazette in January. Today was an excellent indication of why Freddie kept him benched. Absolutely abysmal in front of goal and with his passing.
