Since when Tomas Rosicky limped off (not even on stretcher) after just seven minutes into the FA Cup tie against Newcastle in January, the Czech winger has been missing with an injury which looked curable in weeks.

Even on that afternoon, he was strong enough to walk off the pitch. Till this day, the mystery of Rosicky’s injury is yet to be realized. He has been out for as long as horrific sufferer Eduardo and it looks as though the Croatian striker will even make an earlier return.

Rosicky has again extended his recovery date, this time, November is the best we can hope for his comeback. How severe this long injury was, is unknown, but at 28, the Czech captain will not be too itchy to play.

“My return is still going to take some time. Each treatment runs the risk of bringing complications.”

Of Rosicky’s current fitness, Czech Republic boss Rada added: “His injury is not a light one but now I am only expecting him when Arsenal give him the green light to prepare with the team.

“We cannot estimate when he will return.”
