Sky Sports journo: Arsenal hold ‘initial talks’ to sign 26-year-old who wants to join Gunners
The Gunners have been handed a boost in their pursuit of new attacking options as Unai Emery looks to replace the likes of Danny Welbeck and Aaron Ramsey in the squad.
Unai Emery saw his side struggle to score goals in vital periods last season, especially when key strikers Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang were misfiring.
With the much-maligned Alex Iwobi being the only winger with any semblance of consistency, the Arsenal boss has been searching for a new forward and Wilfred Zaha appears to be a player on his wish-list.
The 26-year-old has been the star man for Crystal Palace over the past three seasons and this summer might be the best chance for him to move elsewhere.
According to Sky Sports journalist Kaveh Solhekol, the Gunners have held ‘initial talks’ over signing Zaha from Palace, with the former Manchester United player believed to be yearning for a move to the Emirates stadium.
Wilfried Zaha wants to leave Crystal Palace. Wants to stay in London & play European football. Arsenal expected to make offer after representatives held initial talks sounding out possibility of a deal.
