Sokratis and Torreira start, Pepe out: 4-3-3 predicted team vs Man City
The Gunners will be hoping to secure an unlikely victory when they take on Manchester City in the semi-final of the FA Cup on Saturday afternoon.
After seeing off Sheffield United in the quarter-final, Mike Arteta’s men will now face City, whom many may deem as favourites based on this fixture’s recent history .
Emi Martinez certainly has to remain in goal and based on his performance the last time he faced Manchester City in the 3-0 loss last month, David Luiz might need to make way for Sokratis to form a partnership with Rob Holding.
The full-backs will have to be Cedric Soares and Kieran Tierney forsure, who produced a superb show against Liverpool.
In midfield, the trio should consist of Granit Xhaka, Dani Ceballos and Lucas Torreira, with the Uruguayan coming in to add some much-needed safety in midfield against the dominant talent of Pep Guardiola’s side in that particular area of the pitch.
In attack, Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang, Bukayo Saka and the in-form Alexandre Lacazette should be starting. Pepe, who has been a bit flat over the last two games should be replaced on the right wing by Saka, who offers far more than the ocassional threat in attack.
PREDICTED TEAM
Martinez
Soares – Holding – Sokratis – Tierney
Xhaka – Torreira – Ceballos
Saka – Lacazette – Aubameyang
