A new report has suggested that Mesut Ozil has set a time frame for when he wants to make a decision over his new Arsenal contract.
The Germany international has been in impressive form for the Gunners this season, scoring nine goals and racking up six assists in all competitions.
However, with his contract set to expire after next season, rumours have linked the 28-year-old with a move away from the Emirates stadium.
Discussions between the club and Ozil have stalled thus far but the Daily Star are claiming that the midfielder is planning on revealing his decision in the “middle of the winter transfer window”.
The report is also suggesting that Ozil is demanding a high amount of £250,000-a-week in wages which is yet to be offered by the Gunners.
Should the former Real Madrid star make it clear that he is not interested in extending his deal at the club, Arsenal will have no choice but to sell him during the summer to avoid losing him to free-agency.
