‘Start him this weekend’,’Exceptional’: Some fans hail Arsenal player after 2-1 win
A number of Arsenal fans expressed their excitement over the performance of one of the players who featured on Monday night as the Gunners secured a spot in the next round of the FA Cup by beating Premier League foes Bournemouth.
With certain players in the squad needing serious rest after a busy period of fixtures over the last two months, Mikel Arteta found a way to rotate his team wisely on Monday evening.
The Gunners boss decided to hand Alexandre Lacazette a rest as young striker Eddie Nketiah was given a start for the first time since his return from the loan spell at Leeds United.
The 20-year-old was assigned the task of leading the Arsenal attack against Bournemouth and he embraced that role very well by finishing off a fantastic team move with a goal.
After capitalizing on his first big opportunity under Arteta, several fans took to social media to praise Nketiah on Monday…
Start him this weekend. With Nketiah, it's now clear we have a hungrier and more ruthless striker behind Auba than Lacazette has been.

Watch Nketiah's movement once Willock gets on the ball. Makes three different runs and ends up getting free at the far post in case Saka decides to cross. The guy is a born goalscorer https://t.co/9tU5PyqnAt
