Tuesday night’s unexpected 2-1 defeat to Everton has seen most of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s critics return to action. 

The 23-year-old kept his place in the Arsenal starting line-up for a third straight league game as the team traveled to Goodison Park.

However, Oxlade-Chamberlain did not manage to repeat his exploits from the Gunners’ last away fixture in the Premier League which saw him score against West Ham.

The former Southampton youngster was one of the first players to be substituted by Arsene Wenger as Alex Iwobi replaced him with over 20 minutes left on the clock.

As far as some Gooners are concerned, ‘the Ox’ has proven why he does not deserve a regular role in the Arsenal team.
