Team Status:

Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas has returned to training ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League game against Shakhtar Donetsk at the Emirates Stadium.

However, defenders Laurent Koscielny (back), Bacary Sagna (thigh), Thomas Vermaelen (Achilles) are all out.

The Gunners are also without midfielder Aaron Ramsey (leg) and forward Robin van Persie (ankle) but England youngster Jack Wilshere is available as his red card in Saturday’s Premier League win over Birmingham does not affect European fixtures.

Preferred line-up

Conditions:

Fabianski still needs more games to prove whether his recent performances is just a good form or his true class while injuries mean the centre-back partnership will have to remain.

Clichy, after consecutive games for France and Arsenal needs a rest, so Gibbs who impressed in Arsenal’s last Champions League outing at Partizan anyway, can come in.

One of last season’s and again this campaign’s most used players – Alex Song – deserves a break while Denilson benefits and Wilshere keeps his place in the line-up since he will be out during the weekend anyway.
The possibility of Wenger naming the front-line above is very slim because not only does Carlos Vela never start (even after he comes on as a substitute and scores an impressive brace), Bendtner and Walcott may be only fit to be on the bench.

So what’s your line-up?
