The XI: Arsenal vs West Ham
Welcome to the ‘The XI’ where you name your starting line-up of preference for an upcoming Arsenal match based on the team status from injuries to suspensions.
Team Status:
For Saturday’s clash with West Ham, Cesc Fabregas, Carlos Vela and Tomas Rosicky are likely to return while Alex Song is back from suspension.
The only definite absentee is William Gallas who will miss next week also.
Preferred line-up:
Conditions:
Eboue, Nasri or Rosicky could take the spot of Walcott who is yet to be rewarded a start since his goal against Burnley. Also, last week’s somehow wasteful Arshavin (apart from his goal) could be given a rest to hand Eduardo or Vela a chance upfront with Bendtner.

We are at the crucial stage of the premier league season where no team especially the top 3 can afford to lose points. I hope Wenger will play the full strength squad from weekly. No margin for mistakes now.

Randy your line up is ok but i will make a change for u i keep walcot on the bench and replace him with rosicky then i will bring him may after 60min when defence of westham might have got tired
Nice lineup. However, Sagna/Walcott bench, and Eboue/Rosicky start. Wait, Rosicky is coming back from injury let him come off the bench in the 2nd half.
I’m not concerned about the other games (manu/chelsea)! I just want to win one game at a time! This game should be ours for the taking. It is really up to the boys this weekend. No excuses..NADA! Arsenal are title contenders…with or without a great striker! We have to pour it on West Ham from the start to finish. With so many chances that we have missed I hope we start to fix those problems so we can go to halftime relaxed.

I like randys line up and I agree that Walcott should start as I think he’s raring to go. Id start nasri instead of diaby perhaps. Then in the second half id bring on rosicky for Walcott. Diaby for arshavin and move nasri up into his slot. Come on u gunners!!!!!!!!!! P.S id bring on eboue for sagna if we needed more firepower…if for some reason we were drawing or even trailing the irons
I also like line up Randy however somehow I like the idea of Sagna at the back and Ebuee at the Half back right. That always seems to work well. maybe Arshavan does need a rest – at least fr the first half. Here,s hoping. In modern times a famous baseball player virtually carried his team to a World Series win with the Slogan “YOU GOTTA BELIEVE” SOUT IT OUT LOUD IF YOU ARE AT THE MATCH. Bring on Theo and his pace at 60 to cause headaches. It would be nice to get out of the gates early and not keeping us worried.

I’m torn between starting Walcott or Eboue
Eboue has been in great form and Walcott is always great for an injection of speed from the bench with 30 mins to go…but off the tail of his recent strong performances especially his last start against Burnley (when he finally stayed on the field the full 90) I think that he has earned himself a start and what better place to give him that than at the Emirates where the crowd will be behind him.
I’m also tempted to say that Eduardo should be handed a start. He’s got a good scoring record against West Ham and he needs the minutes if he is going to get back to his old self.
Arshavin has been wasteful in front of goal the past 3 games but he has still managed to bag two and set up and create a few others. Like the early Season van Persie who couldn’t buy a goal but was still a part of about everything else going on, I think he plays to big of a role to not start. One or two more games and he won’t be having those terrible misses of his last couple games

ARSENAL vs BARCELONA!!!
Although it is expected,we should not take it for granted that we will beat West Ham easily.Afterall,they came from two goals down to draw with us in our last meeting,so we have to be weary of them.That said,i am predicting at least a 3-1 result in our favour.I wouldn’t recommend that we tinker too much with the line-up at this stage,as the team appears to be paeking at the right time.For that reason,i quite like Randy’s proposed line-up for the West Ham game.Keep the faith.

i like randy’s line up but i’d go with sagna/eboue. bring on super theo at 60 mins for eboue. maybe give nasri the start over cesc to let him heal up a bit. hard to call that one.
