Tomas Rosicky will be joining Danny Welbeck on the list of absentees when the Gunners kick off their pre-season action next week.
Arsenal are set to be entertained by the Singapore Select XI in a friendly scheduled to take place on next Wednesday.
However, two players have already been pulled aside for treatment as the squad makes preparations for the long trip this weekend.
Danny Welbeck has been sidelined by the same knee problem which saw him miss the final weeks of last season after already sitting out last month’s international games for England.
Tomas Rosicky’s injury woes have also carried on after Arsene Wenger revealed that the Czech midfielder would not be part of the trip to Asia.
“Welbeck isn’t completely recovered from the problem he had [at the end of last season]. He’s not back in full training so he will stay behind.” Wenger said today.
“Rosicky will stay back because he got a small injury at his last game against Iceland with Czech Republic.”
A majority of the first-team squad resumed training on Monday even though the likes of David Ospina, Serge Gnabry and Alexis Sanchez will remain out on extended holidays.
