Update on Hector Bellerin, return date

Hector Bellerin has been sidelined by a thigh problem after being omitted from the squad which faced West Ham.

The Spaniard produced impressive displays for Arsenal during last term, claiming the starting spot at right-back after being promoted from the club’s reserves.

However, Mathieu Debuchy was the man who featured on Sunday as the Gunners opened the new season with a defeat to West Ham.

That result has seen Bellerin’s services sorely missed but according to Arsene Wenger, the youngster could return for the trip to Crystal Palace.

“Bellerin has a slight muscular injury, he should be ready for next week.” Wenger confirmed
