Update on Monreal, Bellerin, Walcott and Cazorla injury
Arsenal are reportedly likely to have fewer injury concerns than expected heading into Sunday’s Premier League showdown.
Since losing 4-3 to Liverpool on the opening day of the season, the Gunners have gone 15 games without tasting defeat in an impressive run which has seen them climb to the top of the Premier League, qualify for the quarter-finals of the League Cup and secure a spot in the round of 16 of the Champions League.
Despite Arsenal’s encouraging form though, one factor which could still hinder their progress this season is injury to key players; a frequent problem in recent seasons.
Ahead of Tuesday’s clash with Ludogorets, Arsene Wenger confirmed that the likes of Nacho Monreal, Hector Bellerin, Theo Walcott and Santi Cazorla were all left out of the squad due to fitness concerns.
However, in the midst of continued doubt over the quartet’s availability for Sunday’s match, a new report is claiming that all four players are expected to make the squad this weekend.
According to a claim by Jeremy Wilson from the Telegraph, Wenger is hopeful of welcoming back all of the key stars who missed the midweek Champions League trip.
By the way, here is some footage of the Arsenal squad training this week ahead of Tuesday’s match…
