Arsene Wenger has confirmed reports that Arsenal have been boosted by the return of a couple of injured stars ahead of the clash with Liverpool.
Southampton’s involvement in the League Cup final meant Arsenal’s trip to the St. Mary’s stadium last weekend had to be postponed.
And that long period of rest for Arsenal appears to have helped on the injury front with at least two players now back in action.
Aaron Ramsey, who last featured in the 2-1 defeat to Watford in January, and Laurent Koscielny are now back in contention for a start against Jurgen Klopp’s side.
“We have Aaron Ramsey back in the squad.” the Arsenal manager said at his press-conference on Thursday morning
“He’s back in full training. Laurent Koscielny, who we lost at Bayern Munich, is back in full training as well.”
The return of Kosicleny in particular will be seen as great news by the Arsenal faithful after the French defender’s absence for much of the second half against Bayern Munich saw the team go on to concede four unanswered goals.
