Arsene Wenger has revealed there was an aspect of the Arsenal performance which he was not entirely pleased with on Thursday night.

The Gunners went into Thursday’s Europa League clash on the back of a frustrating defeat to Tottenham Hotspur in the north London derby.

But any worries about that form continuing were dismissed as an improved show against a much weaker opposition saw Arsenal win 3-0.

It was a much-needed victory which means the Gunners are almost certain to qualify for the last 16 of the Europa League.

Even so, Arsene Wenger has questioned his team for being ‘a bit too easy’ towards the end of the game as they conceded a penalty-kick to the home side which was saved by David Ospina.

“For me it was important not to tarnish a little bit our performance.” the Arsenal manager said

“I think we were a bit too easy on that situation and it [the penalty-kick] could have left a bitter taste.”
