Wenger handed major injury boost ahead of United as star man recovers, likely to start
Arsnee Wenger has been handed a boost on the fitness front heading into this weekend’s important clash with Manchester United at the Emirates stadium.
The Gunners are now preparing for another meeting with Jose Mourinho’s side whom they defeated 2-0 in this fixture towards the end of last season.
Wednesday’s thrashing of Huddersfield Town came with plenty of positives but apart from the injury to Alexandre Lacazette, there was also a concern over the fitness of Alexis Sanchez.
The Chilean superstar was withdrawn from the game and replaced by Danny Welbeck after 73 minutes of action due to an apparent injury he had picked up.
However, journalist Ben Dinnery is reporting that the 28-year-old has returned to training with the first team ahead of Saturday’s match.
