Arsene Wenger has revealed the status of his Arsenal squad heading into Tuesday’s fixture in the Champions League.

The Gunners look set to miss out on top spot in Group A after Paris Saint-Germain snatched the advantage on the decisive head-to-head record between the two teams through a late equalizer in the 2-2 draw at the Emirates stadium a fortnight ago.

Arsenal will need the French side to slip up at home to Bulgarian side Ludogorets to have any hopes of finishing in first place.

With that outcome in Paris seemingly unlikely, you would expect a weakened Arsenal squad to travel to Switzerland.

However, Wenger insists only the absence of Francis Coquelin will change the look of what is going to be a strong team against Basel.

“It’s basically the same squad,” the Arsenal manager said ahead of the trip to St. Jakob-Park

“Coquelin has been replaced by Olivier Giroud in the squad. So, overall, it’s about stability.”
