Following David Ospina’s impressive show in Arsenal’s opening game of the Champions League group stage, Arsene Wenger has been asked about the likelihood of the goalkeeper keeping his place in the starting line-up.

Wenger’s decision to name the Colombian in goal ahead of Petr Cech surprised many after his displays at this stage of the competition almost cost Arsenal last season.

However, Ospina did well to respond to his critics by producing a number of important saves against a profligate PSG attack as the Gunners held the French champions to a 1-1 draw.

The performance of the 28-year-old on Tuesday saw a journalist ask Wenger if Ospina could possibly start again when Arsenal visit Hull City on Saturday.

“Look, we have the roles that the keepers know. And that’s why it’s important to have clear roles when the season starts and when that changes I inform them. But they know what the roles of the season are.” Wenger said

“I would not like to answer that question tonight [whether Ospina will be permanent goalkeeper in European games], because we can always change our mind. He has the right to train, to stay in the Champions League games.”

Below were the highlights of Ospina’s display at the Parc des Princes…
