Wenger picks out Arsenal player who has impressed him with ‘top qualities’

Arsene Wenger has picked the Arsenal player who really impressed him during Tuesday night’s cup tie and his choice is the obvious one.

The Gunners were trailing to Norwich City for much of the League Cup clash following a goal from Josh Murphy in the 34th minute.

Arsenal appeared to be heading out of the competition until Eddie Nketiah made stunning impact as a substitute by scoring two goals to complete the home side’s comeback.

The 18-year-old has been lauded by almost everyone after the full-time whistle and his manager has joined with more praises.

“Let’s not be too quick, one of the problems nowadays is that people are very quick [to make a judgement].” Wenger said when asked if reminds him of a young Ian Wright

“He has qualities, he has top qualities and he is one of the players who was with us in pre-season and that’s why I knew that he could give us something when he comes on.”
