Arsene Wenger has revealed who could be back in his squad for the midweek fixture against Reading in the League Cup.
The Arsenal manager watched his side fail to secure a victory on his birthday as Middlesbrough held them to a 0-0 draw at the Emirate stadium.
Despite the dropped points, Wenger’s men are in the thick of the title race and still on an unbeaten run of 12 games without defeat in all competitions since August.
Thus, there is no doubt that there are plenty of positives for Arsenal who are preparing to host Reading in the round of 16 of the League Cup.
And according to Wenger, there could be more good news for his side with two players now hoping to return from injury.
“Cazorla – I don’t really know because we have to see how he recovers on Monday and Giroud could be in the squad on Tuesday night.” the Frenchman said in his post-match interview
“We have a game on Tuesday night here, so maybe he will be available to be in the squad on Tuesday.”
