Arsene Wenger has revealed a couple of his first team players have fitness concerns following Monday’s training session at London Colney.

The Gunners have maintained a long unbeaten run in all competitions ever since the defeat to Liverpool on the opening day of the season.

Wenger’s men are firing on all cylinders as they sit joint-top with Manchester City and Liverpool in the Premier League after securing a place in the League Cup quarter-finals last week.

Despite Arsenal’s bright start to the campaign, one factor which many believe could still prove troublesome to the Gunners’ aspirations this season is injury problems.

Ahead of the Champions League trip to Ludogorets, Wenger admitted they are four players who will be omitted from the match-day squad because they are struggling to stay fit.

“[Players]Who did not travel is Monreal, Cazorla and Bellerin, Walcott – both are more or less injuries.” Wenger said on Monday

“Some of them being very close, like Walcott, Bellerin had a little incident in the last minute of training so they are not here.”

With a big north London derby coming up on Sunday, the Arsenal manager will hope to have most – if not all – of those players back in action within days.
