Arsene Wenger has revealed that one of his fringe first team players is now bound for another departure only a week into the winter transfer window.
The Gunners have sold just one player, Serge Gnabry, over the past 12 months, but several stars have been allowed to leave on loan.
And one of the players on course for a temporary departure is Jon Toral who is yet to break into the Arsenal team after a series of loan moves.
According to Wenger, the Spaniard is preparing to end his current loan spell at Granada and jump ship to Scotland for yet another brief transfer move.
“We work on it [Jon Toral joining Glasgow Rangers] to see if it is possible, yes.” the Arsenal manager said on Saturday
“Yes [move would be a benefit for Jon], because he has played games there but at the moment he doesn’t play and personally I think it would be a good transition for him.”
Along with Hector Bellerin, Toral left Barcelona for Arsenal in the summer of 2011, but unlike the right-back, he has failed to enjoy regular action for Wenger’s side.
