Arsene Wenger has revealed that he is intent on naming a strong line-up for Arsenal’s FA Cup clash with Sunderland this weekend.

After being hit by injuries and a busy fixture list again, the Gunners are set to host Sam Allardyce’s men in the third round of the cup with a depleted squad.

However, Wenger insists the importance of winning the FA Cup for a third straight year means his line-up on Saturday will not be dominated by youngsters.

“The team news is that we have no big injuries, and the squad will be similar to the squad who played the last game against Newcastle” the Arsenal boss said

“Will a young player or two start? I have not decided yet. The thinking is to give absolutely everything to qualify”

Key players like Mesut Ozil and Olivier Giroud are likely to be rested against Sunderland while club captain Mikel Arteta has been declared fit to play.
