‘Worst feeling’ – Arsenal star sends out message to fans after BATE Borisov game
Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette took to social media to send out a message to the fans after the clash with BATE Borisov in the Europa League on Thursday night.
The Gunners played against Huddersfield Town in the Premier League last weekend as two first half goals proved to be enough to defeat the relegation-threatened side 2-1 as Unai Emery’s men maintained their hopes of finishing in the top four.
Featuring in that game was Alexandre Lacazette, who scored what turned out to be the winning goal of the match as Arsenal bounced back from the loss to Manchester City.
The former Ligue 1 star was back in action on Thursday night as he was named in the starting eleven for the trip to BATE Borisov in the Europa League.
However, it was not a night to remember for Lacazette as the Gunners succumbed to a surprise 1-0 defeat on the road.
It was a game which saw the striker receive a red card which means he will not be available for the second leg.
Thus, Lacazette sent out an apology to the fans after the match…
Letting the team down like that is the worst feeling..
I should have stayed calm but it’s not always easy.. Sorry 😣
There are still 90 minutes to play and I believe that my teammates will make it to the next round.. #COYG #Laca— Alexandre Lacazette (@LacazetteAlex) February 14, 2019
