‘Where I want to be’ – 23-year-old hints he wants to complete move to Arsenal next year
Dani Ceballos, who is on loan at Arsenal from Real Madrid, has given his candid thoughts about the move to the Emirates stadium.
With Mesut Ozil not being a consistent performer for the Gunners, especially under the reign of Unai Emery, the club was forced to shop for a new playmaker during the summer transfer window.
Arsenal’s tight budget, particularly with most of the money meant to be spent on Nicolas Pepe instead, saw them settle for a loan deal for Dani Ceballos.
The Spaniard, who is still a Real Madrid player, will be allowed to play for Arsenal for a year before returning to his parent club at the end of the season.
Following his imprrssive displays so far in the Gunners’ colors, some have been wishing Ceballos could complete a permanent switch to Arsenal.
Speaking in an interview, the 23-year-old hinted of his desire to secure a permanent move to north London.
“I don’t feel sorry for not being there [Madrid]. In my head was to play and enjoy [football].” Ceballos said, as quoted by Charles Watts.
“I am very happy in Arsenal, I played 10 games where I showed my best level. Now I am where I want to be.”
