Arsene Wenger’s men went into the clash with Manchester United, knowing that dropping points would be detrimental to their top four hopes after watching Chelsea and Liverpool both win earlier in the day.

Despite a determined display in attack which saw them carve out chance after chance, the Gunners succumbed to a disappointing 3-1 defeat after being punished by United on the break.

The match saw Laurent Koscielny start on the right side of an Arsenal back three which was ruthlessly exposed by Jose Mourinho’s men through counter-attacks.
